Each person has two sex-chromosomes in their DNA, all over their entire body, and if they have two X chromosomes their body will grow to have a vagina and periods, and a womb, and wider hips, a higher-pitched voice, shorter average height, smaller brain, and a longer average lifespan, etc.
If a person has one x-chromosome and one y-chromosome, they will grow to have a penis, be taller, have a deeper voice, a larger brain size, etc.
Politics are trying to completely ignore science. You cannot believe in science and also not believe in what I just said, the things I said are backed by actual reproducible science.
The social sciences such as transgenderism-related science are currently undergoing a replication crisis. (Read about it here).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Replication_crisisThis means that most of their experiments are using false data, fabricated scenarios, and invalid results, that cannot be reproduced by other scientists. That is not real science. It is lies that are being cited as "sources" in the media.
The word "gender" was made to explain that males would typically act one way while females would typically act another way, almost as if it was dependent on their physical sex. People separated into groups where some activities were manly and others were girly.
In history there were instances of men acting girly or wearing girls clothes, but they were typically labeled as being sexual deviant men, and were killed, at the time. I believe this harsh treatment of people, was crazy and primitive.
However, there are also plenty of lies from the democrats regarding history, pretending that "gender" is a recent concept that didn't exist in the ancient times, which could not be further from an Orwellian lie. There was always a male and female in every ancient society, and those who deviated from that were typically hated by the society. (although I personally disagree with hating somebody just because they act differently).
