i’ve heard that loop quantum gravity cannot accommodate an S-matrix. also, i’ve heard that string theory in de Sitter space (which is what string theorists believe is the universe we live in) cannot define a consistent S-matrix. therefore string theory and LQG are both incompatible with the S-matrix which arguably is a fundamental thing to any quantum theory

how do you get around this argument?
