why are the pop science descriptions of QM results so outrageously gay? imagine explaining classical mechanics in the way that QM gets interpreted.

>common sense tells us that red things are not blue, and blue things are not red
>but did you know that according to the theory of electromagnetism it's possible for light to be "purple" which is paradoxically red and blue at the SAME TIME??

>obviously, if you're walking eastward then you're not walking northward, and if you're walking northward you're not walking eastward
>but did you know that according to newtonian mechanics you can be in a "northeast" velocity state where you're walking eastward and northward at the SAME TIME??!

>the ground beneath us is made up of solid rock
>but did you know that according to the theory of plate tectonics, the ground behaves as solid and fuild at the SAME TIME depending on how you look at it?
