>>12829102I mean what else does SLS btfo? Russia's rockets may have lower payload but while SLS is more than a decade in without having seen it's first flight the updated Soyuz has been doing work since the Apollo era. Yuropeons have never even had a significant space program to begin with, can't btfo something that doesn't exist, and smallsat launchers fill a different niche while having a literal fraction of a percent of SLS's budget, and at least their rockets actually fly.
The less SLS is compared to SpaceX the better, and poojeets, changs, and arabs are still learning how to even get a rocket into space with significant payload.
Even the Saturn V, a rocket more than fifty years older, mogs the fuck out of SLS at this point, lower per-unit cost, comparatively lightning fast development cycle, and an untarnished perfect record of crew survival and launch success.
