Hence why when fags became accepted, it no longer became a mental illness, now it's the same with trannies. Schizoid is described as a mental disorder, because they don't want to talk to people and prefer to be alone. Do they suffer intense mental anguish from it? As far as I can tell, no, they just happened to be different from others. You can't physically treat someone whose problem isn't internal, but has to do with conformity. Depression too many times stems from simply not fitting in.
Now there are obvious exceptions like schizophrenia. We can't do much about it since a brain is a very complex machine. And even then some cultures like ancient egyptians thought lunatism was divine and didn't throw people on the streets for it like muricans do nowadays.
