Time is like Temperature

just like Temperature is a description of matter (being hot or cold), Time is a description of an event, the rate of change being fast or slow.
Time is not a thing, and it isn't a ticking clock. it is merely the rate of change. one can never travel in Time, because Time is not a location, not a thing nor a space for things. things do not move "through Time," just as things do not move "through Temperature." Temperature is a description of things, Time is a description of events. this does not mean it's merely some man made metaphysical device, it is as real as Temperature.
and just like Temperature, events can be "hot" or "cold," their rate of change fast or slow. and the thing that makes it "hot" or "cold," like a flame or a freezer increasing and decreasing molecular activity, is Gravity. high Gravity makes it "cold" (slows the rate of change), low Gravity or negative Gravity makes it "hot" (quickens the rate of change).
again, Time is not a place or a space just like Temperature is not a place or a space. if you were to "speed up your Time" you would not go into the future, you would just get old really fast with literally all events within your timeframe happening at a quicker rate. and if you were to "slow down your Time" the universe and everything moving at a regular speed wouldn't pass you by, you would just stay the same with all events in your timeframe happening slower.
i dunno was just thinking about stuff. i think the way most people talk and think about Time is completely wrong. i think the X, Y tablecloth of "spacetime" is completely wrong. but then again i'm a fucking idiot on the internet.
