i want to point out that i have never found a compete resource on complex least squares and complex gradient methods. i had to derive that shit myself, and it's not trivial, even if the end result looks exactly like the real case with transposes replaced conjugate transposes

Is it really a big deal? Engineers have been using complex least squares since Levy's paper on complex curve fitting in 1959, if not before. Also, I'm pretty sure MATLAB handles complex least squares.
