However, a large amount of philosophy has been done to prove that empiricism is the best known way.
A better way that is currently unknown could exist. Finding out if such a thing exists or not is mostly why (the non-politics parts of) philosophy is still being done, although philosophers will give a different reason just to be contrarian.
