>>12809345Me. You guys are just ignorant of how often we get to apply cool modern math ideas such as Algebraic Geometry and Topology. Most modern symbolic computation libraries use AG and even most numerical methods apply some cool Theorems homotopy or homology for optimization, integration etc.
Sure we don't have the prestige and respectability of real mathematicians. But we get to learn and apply all the cool stuff they develop and actually be paid well for it.
