>>12808572>Should I actually get the vaccineYes
>Everyone frames it as if you are suspicious about this case, then you're some anti-vax, anti-science person in general.People are stupid, you'll be told that you're stupid for taking it, and you'll be told you're stupid for not taking it.
>I'm just suspicious about the whole covid thingIf you mean that governments reacted in the wrong way, or media portrayed it in the wrong way, well fucking duh, what else is new. It is however a real virus that would have quickly overwhelmed every hospital in the world if we just ignored it.
>Stop asking questionsCause the question is always "should I take it", which gets fucking repetitive. The only difference between this and all the vaccines you don't ask about is how long it takes, so I'll assume that's your question.
This vaccine was done in a year instead of several by skipping the lengthy bureaucracy usually involved, and because they had an insanely large sample size (imagine trying to test a vaccine for something that's 1 in 10,000). Even a normal vaccine usually doesn't do phase 3 trials for anything truly long term. Why not? Because it's just fucking unlikely for any effects to be 1. only long term, 2. serious, and 3. affecting a large amount of the users. Long term effects are rare, but if they do happen, it'll probably only affect some people in some non life threatening who gives a fuck way.
The part that pisses me off the most is the people saying this aren't health nuts who are extremely aware of what they put into their bodies, reading ingredient labels and being proactive when receiving medical care. They're just normal people who eat processed food and drink and smoke and fuck without condoms and all the other high risk activities, just looking for some control over their lives because they can't help themselves with the actual risky behavior.
Fuck I wrote a book.
