Problem is you converted all the matter to energy. You get a spherical shell of photons moving out forever, there's no endpoint or maximum diameter.

earth is 42.5 light milliseconds across
energy = 5.4e41J
wattage = 1.27e43W
which appears as bright as the sun 2880 light years away
so yes I would think so.
