"'x's' are naturally occurring acetylenic alcohols (note the two highly energetic triple bonds, extremely unusual in the natural world) present in (English) Ivy."
(I kept it as 'x', for any who wants to try and identify it.).
I chose this molecule because it said it had highly energetic triple bonds and was extremely unusual in the natural world. Those two factors sounded interesting to me.
I wish I knew more about chemistry to know its true nature and possibilities. Hydrogenating it, what would this achieve? I read on Google (That's how little I know) that this means to combine it with hydrogen. What would this achieve, curious?
