Have there been any attempts to kickstart a society for chimpanzees, dolphins or some other intelligent species by teaching them how to use tools etc.? If not, why?

I remember watching videos on this "orangutan school" project that took in young orangutans and taught them important skills to survive, how to use tools, how to use soap to clean themselves, etc. It was very interesting, I'll see if I can find the videos on it

I'm interested in teaching them human languages. I'm curious what kind of vocabulary they could amass. Recently I stumbled on these videos where a dog and a cat have been trained to use these buttons to say words, it's pretty interesting

Cool thing is that after they release the orangutans into the wild, they can be seen teaching their offspring the same skills they were taught, so the skills and knowledge are retained in future generations and as a result the entire population becomes self-sustaining.
