Based, same thing happens to me.
I know I'm not a chad (they probs look good regardless) but I genuinely cant say I'm ugly either specifically because I look cute in the mirror.
Honestly, If I was gay, I wouldn't mind fucking or at least making out with mirror me but whenever I look at a picture or video of me, I cringe.
Zoom sucks for this exact reason.
Both might be slightly distorted but I honestly can't know which one's less distorted.
I wonder which me people see...

Same for me. But it’s not like females are into it anyway. It’s just for your ego, which is kind of small, but works too at least to a certain degree. If you are sure about your deep self and it’s meaning in the world it will work. The deep confidence and loving concern for beings around you is something that can’t be faked and is independent of status. If you have some decent humor and intelligence on top of it you can even look like you spend the last two years in a homeless shelter. We can see more than meets our eye.

when you look in the mirror you are seeing a reverse image of yourself and what you are use to seeing. pictures are the real you. you get really, really attuned to how you look in the mirror so even minor assymetric switches look jarring to you

I think I remember reading something once where a lot of people actually probably wouldn't recognize a clone of thems loves if they saw it in person or something. sounds bizarre but it's true

this. 50mm is the closest to what the human eye sees, but most phone cameras have very wide angle, like 20mm or less in most cases.
also phone cameras are terrible at capturing light accurately and it's rarely forgiving.

some people are opposite though, they look great in phone photos but then you meet them in person and they look awful.

but having said all that, whilst you do look better to the eye than you do in most photos, you don't look quite as good as you do in the mirror.
when you look in the mirror you subconsciously pose, you change your expression and tilt and move your head to make the lighting favourable. and your brain has the power to only see what it wants to see.

mirror you is the accurate one, since its just like staring at a copy of you. if you are extra observant you might be able to notice that even other people look a little different from how you expect in pictures.
