To answer your question, you should study or work in order to make money and get laid, since money and sex are likely to make your life somewhat less miserable (don't marry though; that would make your life more miserable).
There are also lots of interesting things you can study (either as a hobbyist or professionally) and learning interesting new things is also likely to improve your quality of life.
So, unless you're planning to starve yourself to death, you're better off studying or working since it will make what little time you have left on this Earth a little more bearable.
