Everything about Harvard referencing sucks.
-It takes up space on the page.
-It breaks the flow of text.
-It gives primacy to principal author above all.
-It is harder to reference between the reference list and the citation itself.
- Date of publication is not the most important element in most cases but it still is included in the parenthetical citation
- When you put the reference near a mathematical expression it's harder to read
- The reference list being alphabetical puts the people with earlier names in the alphabet at the top while Vancouver-like generally has a logical progression of background, method, and deeper exploration of the topic.
