Needless to say though, there's a lot more going on than ur eye cue. A high score can probably sabotage someone as much as a low score can falsely deflate and demotivate someone, and the inverse as well, a false high score could motivate someone as well.
Just ignore the BS. Focus on learning about yourself and what you want to do. Metacognition, self exploration, whatever. You are you, and you'll do what you will, to the extent that you can. And that's basically the beginning and the end of it, no matter who you are. Just do what you need to do. Inflexibly perservere through failure if you want, yield to failure if you want. Accept some vague notion of your palce in the natural order if you want, reject and try to thwart the natural order if you want. Doesn't matter.
