Trying to elucidate the beauty of mathematics to a friend, require help

What do you like most about mathematics? What aspects/problems/subjects are especially pleasing or beautiful? What makes math more than just numbers?

To me, mathematics is proof of the existence of an aphysical domain of objective truth which governs everything, and not to sound trite, but is true “language of god”
