There is no reason to think Occam's Razor is correct. Just because the simple answer might seem more sensible doesn't mean it is true. Lots of computer systems have ridiculous complicated logic because of whatever dumb reason. If at any point you choose one model over another because it is simpler then you really don't know that it's true and are just assuming it. So if our conception of the universe is based on choosing a simpler model it's really just a conception that exists on paper not in reality.
