Medically speaking, why isn't there more research being done on curing gender dysphoria with antipsychotics? Gender dysphoria is clearly a subtype of body dysmorphia, another clinically recognized obsessive body modification disorder, and both have been shown experimentally that they're treatable with the same classes of antipsychotics. [1] So what gives, /sci/? This seems like a much more humane treatment option than massive surgery and sterilization.
