are east Asian and Indian professors in some sort of competition to be the most useless teachers ever?
This is a uni-specific thing - I had great Asian teachers in high school
they're extremely bad at teaching
my classmates ask questions constantly, and the teachers can't even comprehend the questions
sometimes they just start lectures over from scratch halfway through or even redo lectures from weeks ago, because their preplanned lesson plan is literally the only way they know how to explain things
I just show up to hear announcements and take quizzes, and use the textbooks to actually learn the material.
Office hours are always at strange times
They rely on TAs for EVERYTHING
and homework for their classes are always tedious/monotonous
