I'm self aware and I realize this was more of a big fish in a small pond scenario, not because I'm some kind of special snowflake. Maybe partially a charity case because I was raised by a single mother in one of the highest drug usage and drop out schools in the state. I was a big shot in small town, nowhere, but I was incredibly fuckin' average - maybe even below average at Harvard.
However, with the current political climate, you can have a black kid from a well off family and he'll get selected over some poverty stricken son of a West Virginia coal miner. The Ivys are a lost cause at this point. I think in about 5-10 years you're really going to see the United States start to decline in education from far east and European universities.
>>12773500Being Jewish is actually really helpful. They make up like .2% of the population but they were like 20% at Harvard. That's 100X more representation than is reflected in the population. Most of the actual Jewish guys were cool, and they're very aware of the fact that nepotism and selection bias is in their favor.
