>>12770238I know you didnt ask, but maybe you can glean something from this story. So hispanic, went to a elementary/junior high that went from 90l5% white to 95% black in less than a decade. The neighborhood similarly collapsed. I was the only """""white"""" kid in my class, and I was bullied to hell and back. It also had all of the classic inner city issues. Kids were highly disruptive, when they bothered to show up. I got in fights with the kids to stand up to the endless bullying and i always got in trouble because my parents could be reached; the little fuckers i got in fights with, the principal would ring their parents phones off the hook and never reach anyone, while the kids always sat there with the same shit eating grin.
I had 2 friends, both black. One was a Huge nerd, loved final fantasy etc. Also bullied to hell and back. The other was a muslim raised kid with a heart of gold. We kept to ourselves a lot.
The black girls were cool though. In general really nice and friendly. The boys though... yep they hated me with a passion.
The school no longer exists and the neighborhood is so fucking bad now that when i tell people i grew up there those familiat immediately assume I ran with gangs and have potentially pulled the trigger on someone who didn't deserve it.
