You can solve the problem and leave it as just a bunch of integrals which are in every numerical package you can think off elliptic integrals.

Pendulums are easy to simulate, there's not much to it

It's similar for massless rods with bobs at the end, only even simpler. All you need to do is calculate the Euler-Lagrange equations, and then properly program it.
