Okay, well Copernicus is stating in a section of that chapter that the segments of a given line are to the angles in a specific ratio, however all we know is that the segment of the line is broken up into the same ratio as the velocity of the observer (Earth) to the velocity of Venus/Mercury.

So I'm a little confused how he infers anything at all about the angles given.
