I'm a few exams away from getting my degree in Law. it's from a shitty school, I'm old, I have no work experience and there are too many lawyers already so i'm not going to find a job anytime soon. So I'm looking into specializations and post-graduate programs. 90% of the class wants to go into criminal law. a couple of people want to go into family related law (divorce mediation, stuff like that) and one guy wants to go into international law.
criminal law does sound like the most logical choice since it's only 2 years (one in some schools) and it's always useful. even if you dont find a job you can still use the skills to defend yourself from false accusations which is cool.

but I found this other program, which is FIVE years long, about Canon Law (vatican laws) it's really fascinating. I can't imagine any useful applications apart from being able to null catholic marriages but it sounds really interesting. do you think this is worth looking into?
