Also anime attracts autistic people. The faces are easy to read for faceblind people, large eyes make it easier for an autist to 'make eye contact's, the costumes are generally simple (autists tend to remember people by their clothes and hair), they have childlike proportions, their voices are nonthreatening and autists often find it easier to read more symbol-based writing systems (ie moon-runes) than western systems.
Lolicon is simply pedos with autism latching on to anime. I've dealt with autistic people before and every single one was a massive anime fan
Personally I think we should ban obvious lolicon and make it harder to find online. Most autists are terrified of going against the government, so we could probably eliminate a massive swathe of the cp gateway drug that is lolicon
