Sup /sci/ I did my first lab in almost a year today, we did an intro recrystallization in ochem.
I know there are some lab rats in here, I am curious why the benzoic acid crystals were so static-y when I tried to dump them onto a watch glass. They literally jumped at me, it was like I was glitter bombed with crystals. Are the benzoate ions attacking me or something? I don't understand the physics.
Also, how can I improve my recovery from 70%?
