If you were to find a new force. But it exists outside of the universe (so our physics would not apply to this object.) How would you discover it's proprieties.

I like to think there's more to things than what we see. There is technically. UV microwaves etc. But I like to think it goes beyond that somehow.

By using statistics to calculate probabilities and then cross referencing results with real word measurements, pic related. Once you have some kind of basic theory of what you're looking for, you have to extrapolate it. Deduce what its extremes would be. This is science at its finest.

If there was something you're trying to discover that literally never interacts with the physical universe, like even beyond electrons or dark matter, you're kinda just fucked. You can do lots of theoretical math and can create theories for anything. But if its truly outside of this universe there will be no way of proving that its a real thing and not just something you made up.

It would have to be a purely mathematical force, acting upon the world abstractly from outside of time, like pi, or God. Its properties would be revealed in the same way as those, for instance the sum of the reciprocal odd numbers in order with alternating signs converges to pi/4.

There are ways it could exist. I cannot really give that much info. but the force is kind of like space, but its far from being like space. But if you are able to make assumptions with my theory. You could tell there is something there.

If you can measure or observe or log or do anything that converts your phenomenon into math, then you can successfully build a theory, come up with tests, ect.

This is what science already is, the pic I posted before is of the electron orbitals around an atom. See we literally can't measure electrons or photons without destroying them, so a bunch of faggots like heisenberg applied statistics and probabilities to the already known interaction of electrons. Couple of graphs and extrapolations later and wiz bang pop, we can know all the possible paths an electron in an atom can take, even if we can never ever measure/objectively see it in these positions.
