>>12752786I agree with everything you said, except for CO2 emissions. I don't think humans are causing global warming, my research has led me believe we're in a warming cycle of climate change. But CO2 emission is directly linked to ocean acidification because the absorption of CO2 is what causes the PH to change. That and another thing you mention is the release of heavy metals and radioisotopes from dirty coal plants, which we know China and India still use down to their peasants.
Obviously political BS is BS. I will believe the climatologists when they make accurate predictions. Until they are able to propose an actual geoengineering application their theories exist in the what ifs and maybes and error margins.
Now, 3rd gen Nuclear and thorium? Yes, but limited.
Solar, Wind , Hydro, Geothermal? Yes, but individual limited.
Coal and Hydrocarbons? No. We should stop damaging the crust with megamines and creating megalith empty/low density caverns in it.
The reason I think nuclear/"renewables" should be limited is because they are part of the earths ecosystem. The radioactive decay is part of the heat upkeep algorithm, harvesting and burning too much of it could shorten the life of our planet. "Renewables" are really ecosystem energy, harvesting too much could stall systems.
I think the only solution is asteroid materials used in space, or solar panels in space, with energy from either beamed down wirelessly to towers.
