I started with basic/java, then learned R, Matlab, Python
That's not a brag; you literally just pick up languages on the fly once you learn one. R -> Python took me about 2 weeks to get comfortable with the language, but I was using it day 1.
Pick 1, go with it. Matlab is a billion gigs in size and has the worst fucking amalgamation of data types and isn't free, and the toolboxes are half of the reason to use it (I used it for a lot of image processing).
Python is free and simple. Learn Python. Get Pycharm, a github account (I prefer bitbucket for private stuff actually) and just go.
Stop fucking around and never actually doing anything. You might as well save yourself the time wasted on googling "PYTHON OR MATLAB" and go outside or something since it's literally 100% wasted time
