I am making a game and I'm wondering about running, specifically I need to know the reason that running with your hands back behind you helps makes you go faster.

Is it something to do with center of gravity? Or airodynamics? Thanks in advants

You can run however you want. They choose not to because it's not effective. Try it yourself. Trying running normal way, and then try running Naruto way, for a brief 50 meters. Time yourself. Notice Naruto way tanks your time.

Naruto running doesn't make you faster. If it did, Usain Bolt would be doing it. Even if it did, it's a lot more unsafe, since you have a risk of falling on your face when stopping.

Oh yeah that's a good argument. I've always lowered my center of mass if I wanted to run more quietly, so I guess it also makes sense to have more stability in holding a sword. It's faster than walking but definitely not faster than running normally.
