There is a chance, especially since you take meds, that you have a genetic variation (MTHFR) that suppresses your body's ability to convert folic acid to the active 5-MTHF, which in turn can cause too high homocysteine levels and make things worse. I could even imagine that you are taking Wellbutrin because of the MTHFR mutation in the first place.
