Let's face it lads, BASEDthon has become the "pocket calculator" of choice for science education. Academia continuously shies away from functional languages, despite being better suited for the mathematics that science relies on. A student going to any university of consequence will be continuously exposed to Python as THE WAY to handle any scientific need involving computation. Even if one is not flat out required to use it, they will be encouraged to do so by professors and teaching assistants who do not understand code outside of the inputs and outputs of their favorite package.
The way of scientific academia is cucked, and will continue to be as long as Python remains a part of university curricula. This should be considered deeply.
