I don't have much, but I was making media that involved phenol and took it out of the fume hood to do it because I was tired of working in it. Shit got on my hands and smelled horrible, I spend an hour trying to scrub the area off. Not sure if breathing it in to the extent that I did would have done damage.

I will never forget the countless students who want to become (((teachers))) back in the beginner labs during my Ba times. Had to do a fraction of the work and still hardly managed. Just goes to show that teachers are subhumans.

I spent almost a year as a masters student at a very rich lab. One of their former PhD students bought cases and cases of Bio-Rad precast sds-page gels and semi-dry transfer sandwiches.

at least 100 each were in the cooling room. All expired since years... ...nobody cared, nobody noticed

I heard one from my buddy who works in a lab that makes some sorta conductive gel. This kid made the gel and had it in a syringe. It wasn’t coming out so the kid looked down the tip of the syringe and accidentally shoots the gel all over his face and hair, had to use the shower/eyewash, and was ultimately kicked out of the lab kek
