I'm a self-taught mathematician who's hoping to contribute with some original research. However, I recognise that I desperately need guidance from a more senior mathematician to achieve this. Unfortunately, I don't work in academia, and I'm too old to go to university. What are my options?

Fwiw, my mathematical interests are
>topological methods in arithmetic geometry (e.g. K-theory, THH, analytic geometry)
>enumerative geometry through the lens of string theory {e.g. Gromov--Witten theory, motivic stuff).
