I think they have done approach experiments where total strangers approach women asking for dates. They find that almost all men are rejected even if they are good looking but interestingly, females approaching females do better. This seems to indicate that females do want sex but are afraid of strange men who might turn out to be psychopaths.

No, because you can't do experiments in social "sciences", which shouldn't even be considered science imo.
The most important part of an experiment is it's reproduceable and will give you the same result it gave you when you did the experiment for the first time.
Unlike, lets say Electrons, when you're using people as test subjects your second experiments results are always going to be different from the first ones, no matter if you take different people (obvious) or use the same people from the first experiment (already did the experiment, so they have different experiences than when they did the experiment the first time)

Quantum mechanics requires you to take statistics and the datasets can get absurdly large for stuff like collider physics. But I get your point. The main problem I see is the laughable sample sizes in the humanities papers I read. But that's just the result of extremely low math literacy in the field. These people learn statistics like it's a multiplication table. For them these things have no meaning other than utility.
