I bet he's jelly that his field doesn't have the job growth we do. That's why he's going to be working in McD while I get six figures starting. All he must know about CS is fizzbuzz in java. Anyone who's actually studied theoretical CS knows it's all hard math and impossible to self-study. We learn about logic like DeMorgan's law, combinatorics like the pigeonhole principle, linear algebra like Gaussian elimination, numerical analysis like the bisection method, and abstract algebraic number theory like modulo operations and repeated squaring in the NP-complete RSA cryptographic algorithm. If you think this stuff is easy then clearly your school must have been shit and didn't do them in the detail like in my good school. In the future, all other /sci/ fields are going to be replaced by us CS majors when super AI running on trinary quantum computers arrives ushering in a new age of the singularity.
