Several years ago, Gallup published a poll showing an increase in LGBT population over time. In what can only be describes as an alarming rate of growth, I'm absolutely shocked that these social scientists haven't correctly modeled this phenomenon. I've taken the liberty of plotting the data, with three projections in place.
In the blue curve, you'll see that if we do not act NOW, that by 2070, nearly all humans will be gay. This means that your grandchildren will likely be the last generation to walk this Earth, as gay people do not sexually reproduce.
Next, you'll see in the orange curve moderate policies. We can curb the growth, for now, in the hopes we can act more aggressively later. Again, this is not ideal as by the year 2070, we'll still have over 80% of the population being gay. This means your grandchild will probably be gay, but there will be some lucky folks among us who can be great grandparents. Unfortunately, even with moderate policies in place, children born by 2100 will likely be the last population to walk this Earth.
Lastly, we see in the gray curve that if we aggressively stop all pro-LGBT funding, we still cannot stop the growth. It appears this growth is irreversible. However, by aggressively acting now, we can reduce their population to about 15% by the year 2070, meaning that society can still function. However, by the year 2500 we may still have problems. But that's a problem that cannot be fixed by the current generations, and we have to hope there remain solutions in the future.
We must act NOW.
