Given the heavy lean towards what 'feels' good and what is provable through logic, reason and data. What is the place for science moving forward?

You see retards with one of two opinions. They either praise popsci figures as gods and if you challenge something you're labelled a science denier.. it's catastrophic and obviously /sci/ related.

How do we popularise the scientific method and step away from 'muh science'

It seems insanely obvious that whoever is funding research.. is usually the beneficiary of the 'correct' conclusions.

Corporate lobbyists paying for science is dangerous. It happens in every industry but how do we keep scientists honest and unbiased. It seems to be the primary problem plaguing research today.
