(2)^(3x+1)=(2)^10 I know 3x+1=10 if the equality is true, exponent equality holds for the equation, but I've been taught only 'cross-multiplication'. Assuming I want to get the right side of the equality to 0, what number or value am I supposed to divide/multiply for to do it ? Dividing both sides by(2)^10 only gets me 1 on the right side, and when substracting both sides by (2)^10 I dont know what operation to perform with the exponents on the left side. I am sorry if my question is out of place or is too simple for the board.
