The hair on my head keeps growing and needs to be cut. The same for by beard. If I don't cut them the get long. How come my pubes don't get long even though I've never cut them?

I think the hair follicles die off/shed sooner in the nether regions, i.e. they have a shorter lifespan. Not sure why though
