People often wonder "what you keep in the basement," but Egypt is a special case. One could call the subterranean chamber of the Great Pyramid at Giza the "basement" of that ancient wonder, but they would be mistaken...for that basement, oh so ancient and dark and mysterious, with its hidden shafts and dead ends holds a secret: a burried secret.
Literally burried about 200 years ago, a shaft in that chamber goes down, and down, and down...but no more. They have filled it in and sealed its memory.
I ask that Science & Math stands unigied and demands that archaeology be a science once more. I ask that we demand the Pit Shaft be cleared, and once and for all we can measure exactly what angles its corners are.
