>>12714571Computer Engineering. Just be sure that it is a hardware based degree. If it's in the same building as the Electrical Engineering department, that's a good sign. If it's in the same building as the Computer Science department, that's a bad sign. Most CS type Computer Engineering degrees have been renamed Software Engineering and the Computer Engineering title used for an EE degree that specializes in ICs.
But you're a fool if you put your future in the hands of a politician and rely on them actually doing what they say they're going to do. If you want to make chips, go for a CE degree but don't do it because some dying guy who sniffs and gropes children says he's going to do something.
