>>12712784Use the Zettelkasten method. Making large documents with notes is overwhelming and you may never go back to look at them. Certain software such as Obsidian have made it helpful for me to link ideas together when I go back to study.
Otherwise, if you think the Zettelkasten method is a fag meme (understandable) really you just need to do a lot of the exercises (95% in the textbook) and apply the knowledge you obtain from reading, perhaps by trying to prove theorems in the book without looking at the authors solution. Exempli gratia, don't look at a single proof in a math textbook and see if you can prove all of the results yourself.
