Most people would be happier in a society that values traditional gender roles, because gender roles aren't just a 'social construct'. Literally all mammals, and pretty much all vertebrates exhibit 'gender roles'. It's ingrained in our psychology and biology, and most people will feel more comfortable and fulfilled in a society that recognizes biological reality and human evolutionary psychology. Do I think gender roles should be mandated or that there should be some sort of legal enforcement of traditional gender roles. No, of course not. I believe in individual freedom, free speech, liberal values, and science. But I think that most people would benefit from living in a society that encourages traditional gender roles as a matter of norms and culture.
