1. Why is it considerably hard to supplement? It seems our bodies should jump at every opportunity to acquire this vital nutrient. Yet the opposite seems to be the case, our bodies seem to reject it.
2. Iron tastes disgusting. Considerable research went into hiding the iron so that it cannot be tasted, yet it gets absorbed. Why would we evolve disgust against it, if we needed to eat more?
3. There is a considerable evidence that iron restriction prolongs lifespan.
4. There are hereditary diseases that lead to iron overload. That shouldn't happen if iron was hard to get these would be selected for long time ago.
