we pretty much just know more about theories explaining the physical world, for physicist there is a need to consider rather distinct theories in order to predict outcomes, while mathematicians just build on previous science, thus I guess we can more accurately predict the future

Neck yourself. That’s not something to brag about and you know it. Mathematicians are far superior to physics fags. Mathematical training allows the likes of us to apply our minds to any other field of knowledge with sufficient persistence and ingenuity. Physicists couldn’t even figure out point-set topology unless their textbook had color pictures of fermions and bosons. Math can get along fine without physics. Physics would be begging for math to come back inside two years.
