I read textbooks as an introduction while skipping unpractical shit. If there is some bullshit that must be learnt, I use mnemonics.
If something sparks my curiosity, I research meta-analyses, both old and new.
If there is arithmetic involved, I read the theory and practice until solving problems becomes almost a reflex.
Finally I review everything by answering mock tests and quickly research errors I made.
This usually works but one also must be conscious of weaknesses and strengths to schedule some hours dedicated to study, wards make this specially difficult.
