The point is just to get some spike proteins into your system so your immune system can recognise and attack effectively if you get infected. mRNA tech is just as effective as normal vaccines, but it can be made muc faster. The only reason we didnt start useing it earlyer is because we already had a functioning system and speed was not as much of a concern until now.
There is ofcourse the posibility of something unforseen, by definition of "unforseen".
Regardless, i am serious about putting a dose in my dna sequencer once i have one. Unfortunatly one coss 900 euros. and i dont have that right now.
